Project 1 : Form and Function

Architectural Design 2 - ARC 257

This project focused on the importance of appearance and practicality in creating a completely new design that was functional and creative. We were given the task of redesigning an existing bridge in order to see if water traffic could pass through.

Movement Analogies

Finding five household items was our objective and present it to the class in order to see if there was a mechanical sense, Afterwards we had to choose three of the items that we wanted to use for the bridge opening.  The three items that I went with were eyelash curler, locking pliers and a wine bottle opener. Then we took each item, 3-D modeled them and diagramed the functions of each item.
